Herb Library
Natural wisdom at your fingertips
About this project

A living library of herbal knowledge.

This site is designed as an educational reference for herbs, their traditional uses, and important cautions. It’s built to be searchable, transparent, and easy for everyday people to use.

Database of 1,000+ herbs Local language model search Scripture & traditional notes possible
What Herb Library is (and is not)

Herb Library is an index: it organizes information about herbs so you can find it quickly. You can browse by herb, by condition theme, or by short guides that explain concepts like “nervines”, “adaptogens”, and safety.

It is not a replacement for medical care, diagnosis, or professional herbal consultation. Herby is a way to search the library in plain language, not a doctor, pharmacist, or licensed practitioner.

As the database grows, each herb profile can include traditional usage notes, cautions, preparation ideas, and—if you choose—scripture or historical context alongside modern safety considerations.

How information is organized
  • Herb profiles: one page per herb, with uses, forms, cautions, and notes.
  • Conditions: themes like sleep, stress, digestion, immune support.
  • Guides: short articles to help interpret and apply what you read.
  • Herby chat: LLM-based search that talks to the database.
